Privacy Policy
Sound Decisions LLC (“Sound Decisions,” “we,” “us”) makes music software, including Composure. This policy explains what we collect through this website and how we use it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Waitlist and download email. If you join the Composure waitlist or download the Composure beta, we collect the email address you submit. It is stored in our own database, hosted with Cloudflare, and used only to send you updates about Composure and Sound Decisions. There is an unsubscribe link in every email.
Anonymous usage counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count site visits. It is cookie-free and does not follow you across sites. When you download Composure or the plugin checks for an update, our server counts that it happened, along with the country the request came from and the browser type. The update check also carries a random installation identifier plus the plugin version, your DAW, and your macOS version, so we can count unique installs and know what to support. The identifier is a number we generate on your machine. It is not tied to your name, your email, or anything else about you, and these counts never include your IP address. We cannot tell who you are from any of this.
That’s the whole list. This site does not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How we use it
We use your email to tell you about product progress, the founder release, and related news. We use aggregate, non-identifying server information (the kind any web host records) to keep the site running.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us. On request we will tell you what we hold about you and delete it.
